1st Haircut

Well, the time finally came for Asher's 1st haircut! Even though he doesn't have a ton of hair, the hair he does have was getting quite unruly - scraggly in the front and rather "mulletish" in the back. I have a slight phobia with mullets and couldn't let it go any further on my child!

Making the first cut! As you can tell, Asher was not amused by the haircut...I had to hold his face so I wouldn't cut him with the scissors and he was quite mad about it!
Grandma Brokke took over and cut the top and back of his hair since she is the one with professional experience. Asher's face is just so pitiful in this picture, huh?

So much better!

Daddy and Asher sporting their shades and new haircuts (my mom cut Mark's too). Thanks mom!
I love them.

Fun Outside

It's been over a month since my last post! For some reason I just haven't been motivated to blog recently. Part of it may be that the weather has been super nice the past few weeks and we have spent as much time outside as possible. I think we went on a walk to the park by our house everyday last week - so nice. Today is overcast and cold with a chance of snow later this week....hence, why i'm finally updating the blog!

A few weeks ago we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with some friends and the kids had a great time. Wasn't so great with the camera that day but got a couple pictures:

Asher and Kadence in the Grizzly Bear exhibit:
This is definitely Ash's favorite cause he can get right up to the water and see the fish and bear-
Asher and Braedon lookin' cute...not quite sure what A is doing with his hand though.

This past weekend we celebrated a birthday for one of the guys in our small group. The weather was pretty nice and all the kids seemed to have a fun time playing at the park!

Asher and Keaton on the swings -

Keaton gave me his classic "cheese" grin (which, by the way, is probably one of the funniest/cutest smiles I've ever seen)
Asher and I went down the slide....which, to be honest, was quite a tight squeeze and rather uncomfortable for me!
Hangin' with daddy at a little park bench - yelling about something important of course.
Obviously by the look on his face, Asher was thoroughly enjoying the park at this moment-
Asher's friend, Kadence, flying a kite:
Some sweet friends from our small group!
It was a fun time all around....Happy 30th Birthday Gregg!

This is what happens....
